"Where do you buy your Halloween dresses?"
It's a question I've been asked a few times on social media, and it's kind of a loaded one. If you're like me, you see SO many cute Halloween dresses on other girls, esp. during the spooky season, but you NEVER see them in stores.
Where do they find them? How do they know where to look? Do they even carry my size?!
(That last one is me and a question I know ALL my fellow plus size girls face. Cute stuff isnever in our size.)
Today I'm answering all those questions for you because, truly, the key is knowing where to look: the Internet.
Here are 10 spots online I recommend checking out when on the hunt for Halloween dresses.
Where to Buy Halloween Dresses
This is one of those lists I will continue to update as I find new sources, so if you want to keep posted on new additions I encourage you to bookmark this blog post and check back every few months!
Sell Halloween dresses year-round and want to be considered for inclusion? Send an email with a link to your shop to hello@spookylittlehalloween.com for consideration.
💀 — denotes shops that offer plus sizes
Etsy 💀
Etsy is one of my favorite places to look for Halloween items, period. The beauty of looking here is that not only can you find dresses in multiple styles from fellow Halloween lovers - you can also find creatives who can MAKE you a custom Halloween garment! SHOP NOW
A few of my favorites are in the image above (clockwise from top right):
Hell Bunny 💀
Shops with vintage and pin-up style dresses are always a great spot for spooky finds, and Hell Bunny is no exception. They release a Halloween collection each fall full of gorgeous dresses as well as other clothing items. SHOP NOW
Kitschy Witch Designs 💀
Kitschy Witch has some of THE most beautiful prints for Halloween dresses! Their headless horseman print (top left) is a personal favorite, and I love their vintage vibe. SHOP NOW
Lady Sloth Shop
Here's a pick for my European friends! Lady Sloth is out of Poland, and I absolutelyadore her unique prints as well! The strong black and orange stripes in the Spooky Macarons collection is so unique. SHOP NOW
Micheline Pitt 💀
If you're a vintage Halloween lover, the Ben Cooper collection from Micheline Pitt is the one for you! Retro-style dresses + Ben Cooper-inspired prints and designs = Halloween perfection. SHOP NOW
ModCloth 💀
As we creep closer to Halloween season, ModCloth is a spot to keep an eye on for unique Halloween dresses! They always have such fun and interesting prints you can find anywhere else. SHOP NOW
Pinup Girl Clothing 💀
While on the hunt for dress sources, I asked you guys for your suggestions and Pinup Girl Clothing popped up several times! I love that their dresses range from retro to costume-esque. SHOP NOW
Rebel Love Clothing 💀
Rebel Love was another reader pick I fell in love with. Their dresses are a bit more every day in their design while still giving off some seriously spooky vibes. SHOP NOW
Sourpuss Clothing 💀
If you aren't already familiar with Sourpuss Clothing as a member of the Halloween community...all me to introduce you to this amazing brand. Their online store is full of goodies for those of us who love the darker side of life (like these killer Halloween rugs), and they always have a wonderful variety of Halloween dresses to boot! SHOP NOW
Unique Vintage 💀
And finally, if you're looking for some high-end vintage-inspired dresses, Unique Vintage is the only stop you need to make. Their recent Halloween collection left me in awe and wishing I was a millionaire so I could buy every last dress. I can't wait to see this year's collection! SHOP NOW
A word to the wise
If you head to Google and pop in "Halloween dresses", you'll find there ARE some available on other, cheaper sites and yes, I have ordered from some of these in the past.
But a lot of these sites are well-known for stealing designs from independent artists who work very hard to create original work. I would advise you to do your research and always buy from the independent seller over a $20-with-free-shipping site. Support the creative Halloween community!
Where do you buy Halloween dresses?
See a store I left off the list? Let me know in the comments so I can add them! I would LOVE for this to be as complete of a list as possible.
