Prior Lake Vernon Thomas Hei 1942 — 2024 Vernon Thomas Hei, age 81, of Prior Lake, formerly of Burnsville, MN, entered eternal life on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Vern was born on September 9, 1942, in Plum City, WI, the son of Matt and Gladys (Seng) Hei. When he was younger, he worked in farming and construction, and then for more than 30 years worked at the Ford Motor Company in St. Paul. Vern was an avid hunter and fisherman, and coached youth football, baseball, and hockey in Burnsville. He volunteered at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and enjoyed his morning coffee group after daily mass. Vern was well known for his homemade BBQ sauces, and his love for the Green Bay Packers. Shirley passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at All Saints Senior Living in Shakopee.
