Julie Lebiedzinski is the wife of John Fogerty, an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He co-founded the band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) with Doug Clifford, Stu Cook, and his brother Tom Fogerty. Before her man parted ways with the group and went solo in 1972, he was the band’s lead singer, guitarist, and chief songwriter.
Lebiedzinski’s husband had an amazing solo career and was named on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 100 Greatest Songwriters, and the list of 100 Greatest Singers. He is known for songs like; Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Fortunate Son, and Green River.

Her Early Life and Marriages
Julie Lebiedzinski formerly known as Julie Lynne Kramer was born on 7th February 1960 in Elkhart, Indiana, the US. Much of what is known about her life centers on her marriage to the Down on the Corner singer.
She first met him in 1986 while he was on tour in Indianapolis, Indiana. They dated for roughly four years before walking down the aisle on 20th April 1991 in her hometown, Elkhart, Indiana.
Her marriage to the California native was blessed with a daughter and two sons; Kelsy, Shane, and Tyler. Kelsy, the youngest of the three was born on 10th May 2001 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Her older brothers, Shane and Tyler were 10 and 9 years old when she was born.
Lebiedzinski’s two boys are honing their musical skills thanks to their father who allows them to join him in his concerts. While they both are vocalists, Shane doubles as a guitarist.
Apart from her three kids with the former CCR lead singer, she had a daughter, Lyndsay, from an earlier marriage. Nothing is known about the name and identity of the first man she married, nor what exactly lead to the dissolution of the union.
Did Her Husband Marry Another Woman Before Her?
The Indiana native was not the first woman the 1993 Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was married to. He tied the knots with Martha Piaz on 4th September 1965. They knew each other since their high school days. He was 20 years old at the time they took their marital vows.
According to reports, the two had three kids, but their names and identities are not known. So, we cannot confirm the authenticity of the information.
Five years later the marriage ended in a divorce. It is not clear what transpired between the pair that led to the split.
What remains clear is the fact that after the divorce, he left CCR in 1971, and the remaining members of the band dissolved in 1972.
Lebiedzinski Rescues Her Man from Total Despair
As mentioned earlier the Fortunate Son singer married at a very tender age, and it seems he had no idea what he was getting into at the age. It must be pretty tough on him raising a family on one hand and building a musical career at the same time. This may have affected his marriage.
It took him 16 years to fall in love again, and with a woman, he described as his “rescuer”. Meeting Julie Lebiedzinski saved him from bitterness and hopelessness. She transformed his life in a way that all the anguish vanished.
She was applauded for suggesting the idea for his 9th studio album Wrote a Song for Everyone. The album which was released on 28th May 2013, featured songs from his CCR classics and included two new songs, Mystic Highway and Train of Fools.

Her Husband Served in the United States Army Reserve
Lebiebdzinski’s husband got a letter from the US Army for drafting during the Vietnam War in 1966. He wasn’t ready to be on the frontlines, so he went to a local recruiter for the US Army Reserve, and was signed for training as a supply clerk. He was certain the recruiter back-dated the paperwork to take effect prior to the arrival of the draft letter.
He had his training at Fort Bragg, Fort Knox, and Fort Lee during his time in the Army Reserve. One year later, he rounded up his active duty training in July 1967. The following year he was discharged after serving as a part-time reservist.
He is Active on the Political Front
Apart from his musical career and brief military service, Julie’s husband is a staunch liberal democrat. He uses his lyrics to ridicule many Republicans, including former Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Regan. He supported John Kerry’s presidential bid against George W. Bush in 2004.
He also threw his weight behind Hilary Clinton in 2015 when she contested for the presidency. Conservatives like Bush, Donald Trump, and Rush Limbaugh fell in love with his music despite his opinions.
